Honestly, I haven’t had much luck with internships through college so far, so I wanted to understand how off-campus internships and placements usually work for SRM students.

Would really appreciate if seniors or anyone experienced could share details about:

- Where/how do you usually apply for off-campus internships?

- Which platforms actually worked for you?

- How important is LinkedIn/networking/referrals?

- Does college give OD for internships? If yes, what’s the process?

- How many months are we allowed to do internships?

- Till when can we continue internships during 4th year?

- How is 4th year structured exactly?

- How many class days per week usually?

- When do exams happen?

- Is attendance strict in 4th year?

- Has anyone rejected an on-campus offer and gone fully off-campus instead? If yes, why?

- How do off-campus placements compare to campus placements in terms of salary/growth/opportunities?

- Any mistakes you regret or things you wish you started earlier?
