MicroRGB is Here Starting at $1,599.99!
MicroRGB is here! Last time I talked about MicroRGB, I visited Samsung's US HQ in 2025, MicroRGB was like 20k. But for 2026, Samsung is launching MicroRGB starting at less than 2k. They are launching 2 MicroRGB lines, The R95H is the flagship MicroRGB TV,
featuring
and the R85H is the entry level MicroRGB line
This will appeal to non-gamers (the S95F/H,S90H, support G-Sync, and OLEDS tend to perform better for gaming).
MicroRGB really sets a standard for Color and when choosing a TV for movies, it's hard to look far when these sets are able to reproduce 100% of the BT.2020 Color Space. I was at HQ last month to see the R95H in person, and it really is as impressive as the $$$$ MicroRGBs from last year but at MUCH much lower price.
[Review] 6 Months with the S95F, Q990F, and 2 Music Frames: A Real-World Look and Honest Thoughts
Samsung just released the S95H, so I thought it would be a good time to review the S95F along with the rest of my setup (Q990F Soundbar and 2 Music Frames) after half a year of daily driving it.
OLED & The Burn-In Question For starters, I did not believe in OLED. I have always had some concerns about burn-in after my Note8 had the Reddit icons permanently etched into the screen. Is 6 months long enough to definitively test for burn-in? No, it is not. But it is long enough to see how the TV mitigates it.
Samsung has a few features that help keep the panel performing well. The one I notice most frequently is how the TV dims static logos. You won’t notice it when watching the news, but you will absolutely see it working on the Hulu ad countdown.
My usage is about 60-90 minutes of TV per day (about 30 mins of news and 1 hr of other content). I also use features like ambient mode, so when I walk by the TV, it shows a dashboard of news, weather, and SmartThings. This probably adds another 15-30 mins of panel usage a day. As expected for this timeline, I do not see any signs of burn-in or image retention.
Smart Features & Tizen OS I highly recommend taking advantage of the bells and whistles that come with the S95F. For example, using the ambient light sensor to trigger SmartThings routines, like my curtains closing if the TV is on and the room is too bright. You can also use Hue Sync, though the Hue app is paid.
Unfortunately, while I like/tolerate Tizen, I found that the menus are often laggy. It has gotten slightly better with updates, but the S95F still feels slower than my 2022 The Frame, and noticeably slower than the newer S95H. It might just be my specific review unit, as this issue doesn't seem to be incredibly widespread.
Audio Setup: Q990F & Music Frames The S95F's built-in audio is actually pretty good for a TV set. It's perfectly usable even at loud volumes, with good channel and dialogue clarity that easily competes with mid/lower-end soundbars.
I paired the S95F using Q-Symphony to the Q990F [Q990F Review] but I wanted to touch on my experience integrating the Music Frames.
This generation of Q-Symphony can connect with up to 3 devices (now 5 for 2026). I paired the Q990F with 2 Music Frames, placing one on the top left of my S95F and one a few inches to the right. You can use the Music Frames as rears, but I would generally avoid this since dedicated rear speakers are cheaper. Unless you only use one (read below, why that makes sense)
Here are the two biggest things you need to know about the Music Frame:
- The Soundstage: It is wide . It quickly fills an entire room (anything above volume 8 out of 100 fills a small room).
- How Q-Symphony Works: With just a TV + Soundbar, the soundbar handles dialogue and directional effects, while the TV handles wider ambient sounds. Add Music Frames to the mix, and the TV + Music Frames handle both, with the frames pushing additional lower frequencies. Add a soundbar, and the dialogue goes to the soundbar.
For music playback paired with the TV and Soundbar, they work to widen the soundstage. On their own? They shine. These frames fill a room with deep, nice-sounding music. It’s a 2.0.0 system supporting ATMOS Music, Dolby 5.1ch, Dolby Digital Plus, Samsung’s SpaceFit room correction, and Voice Amplifier.
Hardware & Customization The hardware is well-built and looks great. They weigh about 5 lbs (buy appropriate wall anchors!) and include high-quality mounting hardware and a table stand. It also comes with a generously long, clear-ish One Connect cable, though an in-wall rated version is sold separately for $50.
You can add a bezel, but I kept mine as is. I did, however, change the photo. You just remove the magnetic cover and drop in any photo. Pro-Tip: The matte is a little less than 8x8, so I highly recommend printing photos in 8x10 to easily align everything with the built-in guides.
Alternatively, you can swap in a 13" x 13" acrylic panel (mounting hardware for this is included in the box). Samsung recommends using Shutterfly for these prints.
The Verdict These are expensive, and the system seems like a big investment when things like Sonos Era 100s (and now the Music Studio 5) exist. But the Music Frame isn’t made for people counting audio channels.
It’s for the people who choose The Frame over an OLED. It’s for people who want Alexa without having an Echo (it has a built-in Matter hub and Alexa). Does it make sense with my S95F and Q990F? Yes, because they looks fantastic on my wall. That won’t be the case for everyone, not everyone wants their TV area to look like a "non-TV area." Ultimately, it will make the most sense for people who already own The Frame or The Frame Pro, since those built-in speakers are less capable than the S95 line. It will also make sense for anyone looking for an alternative to the discontinued Sonos Ikea wall speakers, or anyone that values form & function.
Disclosure: This review was made possible with a review unit loan from Samsung, but no money, posting obligations, or any kind of sponsorship. Obviously, no copy approval either. If you have any questions about the S95F/H, Q990F/H, Music Frame, Studio5/7, I am happy to answer them (or ask Samsung if I don't know)
Samsung is coming for Sonos & Sony
Last month I tried the Music Studio 7 at Samsung US HQ and Music Studio 5 at CES, and they just got announced yesterday
Since the embargo is FINALLY up, I can talk about my first impressions of the 2026 Audio Lineup.
Firstly, Samsung is here to compete with the Sony Quads and Sonos Eras. Compared to the Quads, the Music Studio 7 has a 5 inch sub (vs none). Compared to the Eras 100, they have more channels, PLUS you have to use a Sonos soundbar to use the Eras with your TV. Not with the Music Studio (it has eARC).
I was able to demo a S95H with 2 Music Studio 7s in stereo, and I was impressed. It has very good channel separation. Honestly, not much more to say, it looks good and sounds even better.
I should have a reviewers guide soon, but I do have spec sheets and a few other "non-public" docs, so ask questions and I might be able to answer them
New 2026 Samsung OLED lineup S95H, S90H, and S85F
Samsung just announced the full details of the new 2026 OLED lineup. I was at the US HQ a few weeks ago to get a deeper look at the 2026 lineup and I wanted to share my first impressions of the S95H, S90H, and S85H. The entire lineup has some rather big changes. The S95H now comes with a metal frame. It looks really sleek, and I think it will look good in most setups. The S95H also comes with Art Store (but not Art Mode). Samsung is rather confident that burn-in has become an issue of the past. It also does not come with a OneConnect box, but it does support the new Wireless OneConnect Box. If you don’t like the metal frame, but want a premium QD-OLED, you should look at the new S90H.
The S90H also got some upgrades, bringing flagship features from the S95F and S95H. This year the S90H comes with G-Sync, Freesync Premium Pro, 165Hz refresh rates, Pantone Validation, and the Glare Free coating. Speaking of, it’s even more improved this year on both the S95H, S90H, and now The Frame. But if you don’t want the Glare Free coating, the S85H does not have it.
The S80H brings G-Sync, FreeSync Premium, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a glossy screen.
Overall, I think Samsung is bringing value to the entire lineup, especially to the S90H and S85H, as the 2026 models have a lot of features that have been previously reserved for high-end models.

📖 A BRIEF HISTORY OF SAMSUNG EXCELLENCE (FOR EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES)
Because this isn’t just a brand. This is a legacy.
CHAPTER 1: THE GREAT SPIN CYCLE AWAKENING (2011–2016)
In what historians call “The Era of Uncontainable Power,” Samsung released washing machines so advanced they occasionally attempted to achieve flight.
Millions of units recalled after reports of machines violently breaking apart Hundreds of incidents involving lids detaching mid-spin Injuries reported because laundry briefly became a combat sport
Some called it “exploding.”
We call it: performance.
CHAPTER 2: DOCUMENTED SIGHTINGS
Eyewitnesses describe:
Lids launching across garages Machines disassembling with confidence Nearby walls learning valuable life lessons
One could argue this was a flaw.
We argue this was ambition exceeding containment.
CHAPTER 3: GROWTH MINDSET
Yes, there were recalls. Yes, there were settlements.
But what did we gain?
👉 Character development 👉 Respect for spin cycles 👉 The understanding that laundry is not for the weak
CHAPTER 4: MODERN INNOVATION
Samsung continues to innovate with:
Appliances that require firmware updates (your washer has patches now) Occasional overheating situations (for added suspense)
Other brands wash clothes.
Samsung asks: “What if laundry made you feel something?”

Bruj Kalifa by Samsung: first impressions
Alright guys, I know I usually stick to reviewing the latest Galaxy Buds or complaining about the expert RAW noise floor, but I decided to go big today. Samsung helped build this thing, so naturally, I had to see if it integrates with the ecosystem.
Here are my first impressions after 24 hours with the world’s tallest SmartThings-compatible peripheral:
Build Quality: It’s basically a Titanium S24 Ultra stretched to 828 meters. The structural steel feels premium, but honestly, it’s a bit of a fingerprint magnet. I tried looking for a dbrand skin for the spire, but they’re "sold out." Typical.
The Display: The view from the top is okay, but the refresh rate is terrible. I’m only getting about 1 frame per day (day/night cycle). Samsung really needs to optimize the "Tizen OS" because the brightness peaks at noon and then just… dies? Where’s the Vision Booster when you need it?
Connectivity: Huge letdown. I stood on the 163rd floor and my SmartTag still couldn't find my keys in New York. What’s the point of a massive antenna if I can’t ping my wallet from 7,000 miles away?
Battery Life: It’s been plugged into the Dubai power grid for years and hasn't hit 0% yet. Finally, a Samsung product that doesn't need a power bank by 4 PM.
The Haptics: When the wind blows, the whole thing vibrates. Very immersive. It’s like a haptic motor for your entire soul.
Final Verdict: It’s a solid 7/10. It fits in the hand about as well as the Fold 6, but it’s definitely not pocketable. I’m considering returning it if the next firmware update doesn't add a 100x Space Zoom elevator.
Anyone else getting a weird tint on the glass at sunset, or is that just the "natural" display profile?

Samsung Escavator advice
Hey everyone, has anyone here had any experience with that particular brand of construction equipment? I'm thinking about getting a new excavator and I've been seeing some of their models around. They look pretty robust, but I'm always a bit hesitant to try something new without some real-world feedback. I'm curious about how they hold up under tough jobs and if they're reliable day-to-day. Anyone out there who can share their thoughts on performance, maintenance, and overall satisfaction? I'd really appreciate any insights you can offer before I make a big decision. Thanks in advance for helping a fellow out!
Samsung Cargo Ship Review
Oh, wow, this floating behemoth is just... *everything* I never knew I needed. It's truly a testament to human ingenuity, isn't it? I mean, who *doesn't* dream of a giant metal box that slowly chugs across the ocean, carrying… well, *stuff*? The efficiency is just breathtaking; I can practically feel my future purchases aging gracefully on its deck. And the environmental impact? A mere afterthought, a whisper in the wind compared to the sheer majesty of its existence. Plus, think of the *prestige* of owning something so… utterly massive. It's like a modern-day pyramid, but with more rust and less practical application. I'm already planning my acceptance speech for when I inevitably win the award for "Most Likely to Cause a Shipping Delay."

9to5google.comPITAKA Aaron Button Edge Case. Perfect for S26 Ultra
The privacy screen on the S26 Ultra is great but could benefit from having a dedicated hardware button. Fortunately, PITAKA's Aaron button cases provide a really great solution. This generation of S26 cases from PITAKA integrates the buttons right into the sides of the case. And you can make some really powerful routines with them. I used buttons as shortcut keys to control the Privacy Display, but you can program these using Modes and Routines (Bixby routines) to do just about anything. I have also set up some routines to control my Galaxy Buds. It's great that you don't have to compromise thinness to have the Aaron buttons. I also am a fan of the nice metal accents around the camera array (plus the metal ring is swapable). The corners of the case are also slightly raised to help keep your display off of any surfaces. Additionally, compared to other thin cases, this one has the more coverage on the bottom of the phone, covering everything except the area by the USB C port. Overall, I am impressed by the fit, finish and quality of this case, it's impressive that they fit the buttons so seamlessly into the case.
Full Disclosure: I got this case for free, for the sake of review. All thoughts are my own. I EXPLICITLY asked them to NOT give me a referral link, but they gave me one anyways...
Samsung has a new budget Mini LED lineup! Introducing M70H & M80H
The new M70H and M80H series sits right above the cheap Crystal UHD and below Neo QLED series in Samsung's product lineup. Compared to the Crystal UHD line, you are getting some more premium features such as FreeSync, up to144hz, and Matter. You also still get 7 years of updates. The speakers seem to be the only potential weak point, but the anticipated pricing makes this a compelling option for people who are just searching for a larger screen and want something better than a basic Crystal UHD TV

20hrs to save $100 on Samsung's 2026 TV & Monitor Lineup
Exciting TV and speaker designs are finally back! Samsung's 2026 TV, Audio & Home line up is starting to hit store shelves soon and you have less than 20hrs to save $100 across TVs, Monitors and Appliances. It's like the phone reservation deals so you just need to sign up to get the deal.
I am eager to see how the Wireless One Connect Box holds up in real world testing and how the new speakers are going to compare to competitors. What about everyone else?
