how do i academically stand out among others in my sch? (other schs also)

having experienced j1 for abt 3 months now, and as a student who started being consistent in my academics pretty early on in the year, i lowk feel that although my grades are okay, im not really shining among everyone, which is one thing im worried abt. coming from a mid tier jc, my thinking is that if i do not top my level or at least be in the upper quartile, im worried i wont be able to compete with students from the higher tier jcs at the a levels, esp because the grades you get for a levels really depend on where u stand throughout the a level cohort. so im just a bit worried abt this, also because i am really aiming for 70rp. for students who excelled and stood out among the rest, particularly those in mid-low tier jcs, how did yall consistently outshine yourselves in your cohort (if you did) and bounce back up to greatness? any advice would be appreciated, thanks!!

which subjects in jc can be survivable without making any notes?

in my opinion, while many people in jc insist that students taking notes is rlly rlly important for studying, i think for some subjects, it is very possible to thrive without requiring the use of extra handwritten notes, shoutout to h2 mathematics lol and for gp too lowk its just common knowledge and as long as u read widely ur good. just curious do ppl think any other subjects are also survivable without requiring notes?

i might sound super clueless here because i actually am 😭. is there a way to check with ur sch if u can see whats in your portfolio thus far? and also how do u add stuff to your portfolio like what is required and who do u email to. for instance i volunteered at this place for a few months and the only proof i have for volunteering is just going to their website, logging into their volunteer portal and showing how many hours i have. is that sufficient to show proof that i volunteered and how do i input it into my portfolio? im so lost

as of today ive been studying econs for quite a long time as its so much content and i need to familiarise myself with it and the relevant answering techniques. however im doing my econs hw done, i see myself just referring to my notes all the time and just crafting my answer based on the template of steps that my notes provides. im afraid that in the actual exam, i will be super lost and do not remember the rough framework about how i am supposed to structure my answer... anyone here has any studying tips for econs to memorise content and the answer frameworks efficiently such that you dont need to refer to a framework everytime u answer an econs question 😭😭😭

help a j1 out econs is killing me 😭😭😭
