“The Eye” is a masterpiece of an episode
I know this can be said for a lot of episodes and it’s true, however “The Eye” is just special. It’s probably my third favorite episode in S1. The special effects are just awesome, especially that shot of TIE fighters taking out. The plot is also amazing, with the payload. I still find myself hoping Nemik makes it out, even though I now how the story ends. So yeah, I know this has been discussed many times before, but just finished rewatching the episode and wanted to share some of my thoughts.
It’s been one year since this show ended
I can’t believe this show finished streaming a year ago. Since then I’ve probably watched it 4 times. What are your favorite scenes from season 2. I think the last 5 episodes are amazing, so I’ll say all of those. I really liked the opening sequence of Cass stealing the tie avenger. The Varian Skye episode was fun as well. Oh and also Bix getting her revenge on Dr. Gorst. Those are obviously a few and I will probably think of a lot more.
Does anyone have a video of both sets in Mexico City night 1
I have only the black parade part and am wondering if anyone has a video of the second part and/or both of the sets together
Another detail I noticed about S1 E5
So basically when Soren is telling Cassian about his brother and he tells him about the farm. Cassian asks him what type of farm. Skeen replies that it is a pepper tree farm. This may seem like an innocent question, but I think that it’s Cassian trying to figure out if Skeen was lying to him. If Skeen didn’t know the detail right away then he was probably making it up. In the end it turns out that Skeen was in fact making up
My favorite scene from episode 5 of season 1
My favorite scene is when Vel and Taramin ask Cassian how to input to load on the freighter. This scene has always stood out to me as how screwed the Aldhani group would be without Cass. They had no idea how to get out of the hangar or whatever you call it. Like Vel said, they would have figured it out but it would not have been smooth. I think it’s interesting to think about just how much worse the mission could have gone. This also shows why Luthen wasn’t that careful with recruiting Cassian. Luthen needed him for the plan to work. I also love how after Cass leaves Vel and Taramin just stand around and then go about their business.
As some of you may know the Ghorman Massacre was released a year ago today and I would just like to point out that feeling I had when first watching (and still get to an extent).
It’s the feeling of dread when you start to see what’s happening, you know the Ghor know it eventually, but at that point what can you do. Nothing, right. So they start singing their national anthem. It’s beautiful. Then the stress starts leading up to the moment and once it breaks out it’s just total chaos. This episode was just so well done, and is probably my favorite in the entire series.
Another thing I would like to point out is how well done Syril and Cassian’s fight is. Star Wars really doesn’t have many fist to fist fights, it’s more been light saber fights, so it was nice to see two people just punching each other in the face.
I forgot to mention before Dreen’s message at the end of the episode. It’s just heart wrenching. Also Diego Luna’s acting at the end is good as well.
Never got a chance to see it in the theaters when it came out and was wondering if it was going to be back in the theaters again. Isnt there also suppose to maybe be a short cut of the three Andor episodes as well or was that just a rumor
I’m curious as whether Cass some anything when he was healed? I haven’t watched the episode is a while but I believe its implied that he saw something or whatever the force healer said to him scared him. Something scared him and I doubt it was just the force healers words. Am I missing something here?
Watching episode four tonight and in one of the scenes they transition from the cold rebel camp on Aldhani to Mon’s nice, fancy embassy. Both of these places house rebels but show the difference between what their job to the cause is. The rebels on Aldhani live if rough and Mon is able to live in luxury while funding the rebellion. We see Mon’s disassociation with the gritty side of rebels in “Welcome to the Rebellion” but this shows it even earlier on.
One thing I found interesting is how Ghor get subtitles will the language spoken on Kenari doesn’t. This is a nice detail because for lore reasons Kenari’s language doesn’t get subtitled because either it’s Cassian’s memory so he knows what they are saying or he doesn’t remember language. Thats entirely possible because it’s be at least a decade since he was one Kenari and without using it since then probably forgot it. Anyway just something I thought was cool
I haven’t seen this discussed before, and it’s something I thought while rewatching episode 2, and it’s how does Timm know Cassian is from Kenari?
Timm goes a reports Cass to the cops after he sees him and Bix out in the bar together and the first episode already sets up that Timm is a bit jealous about Cass’s relationship with Bix. You know with the whole being exes and still friends. So what I’m wondering is, does Timm somehow know Cass is from Kenari or does he just have a suspicion and decides to throw Cassian under the bus.
Another reason could be he does actually somehow know and just wants Cassian out of the picture. Either way Timm definitely reports Cass because he’s jealous of him and the two of them don’t see to get along well from the few interactions that we see.
Started another rewatch today. There’s just something about this show that gravitates me. Maybe it’s because it has barely any flaws or it’s just my autism. Who knows. Anyway probably rewatched season 1 at least 15 times now, and season 2 would be around 5. I’m looking forward to finding more things to post about and discuss on here.
