Do any of ye really enjoy your jobs?

I'd say a lot of people went into the industry cos it's a natural progression from enjoying science subjects in school/uni? 95% of people in Ireland do nothing to do with science day to day.

I'd say eng is the only interesting role in the industry, the rest is a bucket of bore. Prove me wrong! Do ye have job satisfaction or just pay satisfaction? What other industries did you work in to compare

Repost: got the name wrong, doh!

The yellow pencil bollards are already in place, as seen in the picture. This work has been planned for a while and is already well underway. At best he's posturing, at worst he'll slow progress at a dangerous intersection while turning it into a building site.

This guy already helped dilute the Bus Connects in his area so much that the latest design has 0 new dedicated bus lanes in his area. He has no vision, if he thinks traffic is bad now, wait till a few more estates go up and there's no public transport to service them.

Reading Happy City - Charles Montgomery by recommendation of this sub, great book!

Would like something to listen to on the commute.

I already listen to occasional episodes of The Urbanist and The War on Cars.

I understand you can "go public" but pay for a private room in some Dublin Hospitals, is that an option in Cork? I also understand if you "go private" you aren't guaranteed a private room...
