I made a knife handle by first pouring clear resin around a wasp nest, then mixing gold glitter into another batch of resin and pouring it on top once the first batch cured and I sanded it at 80 grit to help it adhere. My question is, how can I make the honeycomb pattern pop more? When I sanded the whole thing at 120 grit, I could see the honeycomb really well, but everything else looked really cloudy. When I poured a top coat for a high gloss finish, it became really hard to see the hexagonal honeycomb shape. I ended up just sanding it to 220 and buffing with green Rouge, which worked okay, but I'm wondering if anyone has any input that can help me? I really like the idea of a high gloss finish, but can't seem to make the honeycomb visible when I do it. The first picture is the 120 grit finish, the 2nd is high gloss, the 3rd and 4th are 220 with buff. Thanks in advance for any ideas!
