Happy 25th Anniversary to Shrek!!!!! The first ever winner for Best Animated Feature!!!!!!

Shrek became the first ever film to win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Producer Aron Warner accepted the award. It went up against Monsters, Inc. (Pete Docter and John Lasseter) and Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius (Steve Oedekerk and John A. Davis)

The film was also nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay for writers Ted Elliott, Roger S. H. Schulman, Joe Stillman and Terry Rossio, based on the book by William Steig. It lost to Akiva Goldsman's Screenplay for A Beautiful Mind. The other Adapted Screenplay Nominees were Ghost World (Daniel Clowes and Terry Zwigoff), In the Bedroom (Rob Festinger and Todd Field ) and The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (Fran Walsh, Philippa Boyens, and Peter Jackson)

What do you all think of Shrek?

Is it one of your favorite Animated movies and favorite movies in general?

Did you think American Horror Story should've won Outstanding Miniseries at least once? It was nominated 4 times.

Murder House (Season 1) lost to Game Change (TV movie)

Asylum (Season 2) lost to Behind the Candelabra (TV movie)

Coven (Season 3) lost to Fargo (Season 1)

Freak Show (Season 4) lost to Olive Kitteridge

The show did get some acting wins for Jessica Lange (Murder House, Coven), James Cromwell (Asylum), and Kathy Bates (Coven)

Did you think American Horror Story should've won Outstanding Limited Series for any of these seasons, or all of them?

Do you think Season 13 will bring it back to the Emmy race?

What's your favorite season of American Horror Story?

Stranger Things disappointed me with this....

How can they go from an exciting season 4 finale with The Upside Down coming to Hawkins (we could've seen a big battle with demogorgans, demobats and the citizens of Hawkins and the army but instead, we got them covered with metal plates at the beginning of Season 5.

Am I the only one who is upset about this? It was from that moment I knew Season 5 wasn't going to be that impressive.

Here are the films from the 2000s that won or were nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Picture (Drama & Musical or Comedy) and weren't nominated for the Academy's Best Picture. Which films should've been nominated for the Oscar?

Almost Famous, Walk the Line, Dreamgirls, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and The Hangover all won the Golden Globe for Best Picture Comedy or Musical.

Out of the Drama Nominees, I would've picked Billy Elliot, Mulholland Drive, The Constant Gardener, A History of Violence, Match Point, Little Children, American Gangster, Eastern Promises and Revolutionary Road

For Comedy and Musical, I would pick Almost Famous, Chicken Run, O Brother, Where Art Thou?,Bridget Jones's Diary, Shrek, About a Boy, Adaptation, Big Fish, Finding Nemo, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Incredibles, Walk the Line, Pride & Prejudice, Dreamgirls, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Charlie Wilson's War, Hairspray, Vicky Cristina Barcelona, In Bruges, (500) Days of Summer, Julie & Julia and Nine.

Love Actually, The Devil Wears Prada, Mamma Mia!, The Hangover are also good movies but I wouldn't nominate them for Picture. Maybe Screenplay
