So after fighting with my Elgato XLR Mk.2 and Elgato DX for around 5 days trying to get them to work but only getting constant crashes, horrible microphone quality and a backed up work schedule I'm going to try to return them for a full refund. Based on the lack of customer support I got while trying to troubleshoot them, I'm not holding my breath, but I'll try.

If anyone is considering the Mk.2 with Wave Link 3.0, save yourself the trouble and just don't.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a good alternate audio interface with DSP that would allow me to plug it into various computers and get the same microphone audio after a single setup?

What are you using as an alternative to the XLR Mk.2?

I picked up a Wave XLR Mk.2 so I could have a DSP interface to take my audio setup with me when I need to record on different computers. I'm trying to set up the hardware based settings to get my Wave DX to sound decent and I'm having the worst time of it.

In Wave Link, there's an option to record yourself and play it back to hear how it sounds. I'm trying to use this feature while messing with the hardware EQ, Compressor, etc but it never makes any difference. My recordings never change, it's like the EQ settings don't do a thing. I can crank the low tones to max and high tones to the bottom and it still just sounds exactly the same as when I took it out of the box. I've restarted the program multiple times, I'm sure I've activated the different effects but no matter what I do none of the effects seem to be applied.

I'm on firmware 1.0.15.

Has anyone else come across this issue and have any suggestions on how to fix it?

Just a reminder to everyone, on April 3 we were told that the spring micro update would be dropping within a month of that post. That would imply something should be dropping this weekend at the earliest or maybe later next week.

From the announcement, the update is going to offer a few decorations similar to the fall and winter updates. Probably the same trees and things but with a spring skin applied to them. Perhaps a few unique items as well.

They made a big deal about optimization improvements. This has me the most excited! I love more decorations, don't get me wrong, but I really hope the game will run smoother after this update with better frame rates and fewer crashes.

What are you more excited for? The decorations or the optimization?
