I really don’t think the Gems asked nearly enough questions when Lion first showed up. They’ve been on Earth for thousands of years, and suddenly there’s a pink lion hanging around Steven with magical abilities? You’d think their first reaction would be, “Why is this thing so attached to him, and what exactly is it?”

If Lion had been dangerous or some kind of threat, that would’ve been a disaster, they literally let Steven live with him in the house. And honestly, I’m positive they’ve never seen anything like a pink lion in their entire existence, so it’s wild that none of them immediately pointed that out or pushed harder for answers.
