I am very new to this, trying to make art for a game I'm working on (think Fire Emblem) because I've gotten enough of the game developed that my poor art is really bothering me and creating a major roadblock.

Is it the shading? The lighting? The contrast? Lack of detail? Any feedback is extremely appreciated!
