Puncture repair - anyone buy just the patches? For road bikes / 700c.

As part of saving a bunch of rubber going to landfill, for puncture repair we're a keen house of inner tube patcher uppers. However, it seems that with a puncture repair kit the little tube of glue lasts forever, while the patches are done pretty quickly.

I was hoping to just buy some patches, bought some from amazon, but they're too big and inflexible, and actually not holding for a couple of recent repairs.

Anyone have any recommendations? I suppose the puncture repair kit is pretty much the same price as a tube, so it's not really a cost consideration. We're just trying to save on waste!
