Without discussing exact word-to-word paper content, because honestly I'm quite scared of any consequences that may happen due to discussions even though IB's officially stated deadline has passed, what do you think the grade boundaries for this session would be?
I personally felt paper 2 was easy as chips and realized mistakes worth 9 marks that I made (Last question last two parts (used the wrong ratio), read the wrong angle for TIR (read 90 minus theta), calculated the wrong current in Q2, and messed that derivation for 'k' up in the Theme E question) due to being in a hurry/confused, whilst paper 1a was tricky yet doable and paper 1b was easy just like the past papers.
I'm confused as to which timezone the one in the title comes under; I'm aware it isn't 2, so is it Timezone 1 or 3? The grade boundary for a 7 was 67% for TZ1 and 71% for TZ3 in M25. I looked at the previous papers for those two TZs again, the MCQs there were doable whilst Paper 2 was pretty comparable in difficulty. Of course, M25 was the first examination session for the new syllabus, so that might've been a factor as well. What do you guys think the boundaries could go up to, if at all (I personally believe they will)? Never seen boundaries go up by more than 3% in two consecutive years, but could this be a first?
What do you guys think is the 'safe' boundary for each of the papers and the IA?
Thank you for reading this ultra long post, if you did.
