Philodendron Rust
grow light, watering top inch or two dry, no misting, soil aroid mix. I had a shelf of philodendrons. I added a yellow variegated variety and didn’t catch the spots on it since it blended in so well. I was getting different information from everyone, but due to the contagious nature of the spots I landed on fungus (rust) or bacterial. i know it’s contagious so I tossed all but these big beauties, and two smaller ones I can’t see any spots on. is there any coming back or should I just say my goodbyes. I’ve been treating with Captain Jack‘s Copper Fungicide, but philodendrons are my absolute favorite so I’m gutted if they can be saved. I’m not opposed to moving them outside to avoid further contamination, but I’m in Utah so summer is going to be a lot for them and they wont overwinter.
