First, I understand that keybed action is completely subjective and even the various descriptive words don't mean much. I know that we should all use whatever feels best to us.

Still, I am looking for a sanity check.

Current example is that I am preferring the CK88 to the YC88. The YC just feels a little clunky and sticky. The CK feels more reactive. Although it's more plastic than the YC, it is somehow more solid than my old MODX8 or the Yamaha DGX which both supposedly have the same GHS action (?)

I have had a similar feeling about premium keybeds in general (the RD2000, the Kawai MP, Studio Logic GT88).

For some context, I am a rock/pop player and rarely get to play a real acoustic.

Anyone else experience this?

This is the scene where a character is making an important well rehearsed speech or eulogy or presentation of some kind. In the middle of the speech they stop...awkward silence.

Then the person makes a point of throwing away the script and starts speaking from the heart. The crowd is confused. The character's friends/co-workers, etc are horrified or panicked. But it was the right thing to do!

You know this scene. Two characters meet and start exchanging insults and threats. And just when it looks like they are about to fight, one of them smiles and says "you old rascal" or some other warm greeting. They were just old buddies having fun!

This is the moment when the cops decide to question a certain witness or suspect. When they arrive at the house, the person is already outside raking leaves, sitting on the porch, washing/working on their car, so they can just start the conversation.

Example is the recent "The Boys" episode when Starlight goes to her childhood home (where she is unwelcome) and the dad just happens to be outside shoveling snow.

I think HBO's "DTF St Louis" had a few of these as well.

The reason is the convenience of not having to show the search for the person and convincing them to speak.

It doesn't work because it relies too much luck and coincidence.

Take a minute and show the search for the person and why they would cooperate.
