Are the HLS landing engines finally being tested at McGregor!?! It would confirm they're methalox. The tent is tall enough for a simulated lander to mount them on.

Naming contest: We need a name for the landing/liftoff engines on HLS.

The landing/liftoff engines need a name. The best candidates, IMHO, are:

*Harrier
*Goshawk
*Sparrowhawk

All are in the raptor family, going along with the SpaceX naming tradition. Harrier is nice, it has the heritage of being used as the name of an aircraft that hovers, the British Aerospace Harrier military jet.

Goshawk has a nice sound. It's also the name of the US Navy jet trainer, although it doesn't hover.

Sparrowhawk is well suited because it's one of the smallest hawks.

What's your preference? Do you have a name to propose?
Whatever the name, these are engines, not thrusters, they're too large. SpaceX calls Super Dracos engines and the landing engines will be bigger.

The term landing engine is a misnomer, they're used for landing and liftoff, but I have reconciled myself to it because an aircraft's landing gear is of course also used for takeoff.

This could all be moot, this engine might be derived from the SuperDraco, in which case it can be named MegaDraco.
