what soad songs have a personal or unique meaning to you?
or what songs do you think mean something other than what seems obvious/what most people think it means/what it is intended to mean? are there any songs that have a message different from what you originally thought?
for me, this one is science. at first i thought it was satirical, ”mocking” (particularly religious) people who dont trust or understand science, but from what i’ve found i think it is just discussing the flaws of science. this may or may be true, but it doesn’t matter anyway because, like daron said (paraphrasing), everyone will have their own interpretation of a song. so technically it means what you want it to mean. i still see Science the way i did initially because i relate to it, it reminds me of my parents who are religious trump supporters and don’t really believe in global warming or vaccine. so that is my personal definition for the song.
i was thinking about this and thought it would be interesting to see other people’s unique interpretations of songs, so please share.
also, i realize i may come off as offensive to any of you who may be religious and i want to clarify that is not my intention. i am agnosti ex-christian but i do respect you, i just have different opinions. just want to clear that up so i dont sound rude.
