XR glasses for coding

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently been looking into XR glasses like the Xreal Air 2 Pro and similar devices, and I’m curious if they could actually work as a portable setup for remote work.

My situation is that I sometimes work from places where the infrastructure isn’t great (no proper desk, no external monitor, etc.), so the idea of having a “virtual screen” anywhere sounds really appealing.

I mainly do development work (coding, terminal, browser), so clarity and comfort for longer sessions are important to me.

Has anyone here actually used XR glasses for real work (not just media/gaming)?

How is the experience for coding or reading text?

Do your eyes get tired after a few hours?

Is it practical enough to replace a monitor when traveling?

I’d really appreciate hearing honest experiences, especially any downsides or things you didn’t expect.

Thanks
