I recently received an official admission from UIUC, along with a specific offer for the MCS in Chicago program.
However, when I checked my application portal, my MCS Urbana-Champaign application still shows “Awaiting Decision,” with no decision letter available.
I’m trying to understand what this means:
- Does this usually indicate that Urbana has already made a decision (e.g., rejection or redirect to Chicago)?
- Or is it still possible that Urbana is reviewing and may release decisions later?
For context, I applied to both MCS Urbana-Champaign and MCS in Chicago separately as two different applications. Urbana MCS is my top choice, so I’m trying to figure out whether I should still hold out hope or proceed with the Chicago offer.
