Please help me build a PC

Hello, my gaming laptop is overheating so I decided it's time to build a pc, but I don't know what I'm doing so I am here to ask for help.

  • New build or upgrade?

New Build

  • Existing parts/monitors to reuse? (List with models/links)

I want to keep my current monitor: ASUS TUF Gaming 24” (23.6 inch viewable) Curved Monitor (VG24VQER) – FHD, 180Hz, 1ms ...: Link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CXS73LRP?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

  • PC purpose? (Gaming, editing, etc. List apps/games)

Primarily competitive gaming with games like: Apex, Valorant, Halo Infinite, and other graphic intensive games like Baldur's Gate 3, (I want to be able to play new releases without my PC overheating, like my current laptop does).

  • Purchase country? Near Micro Center?

USA, Michigan. Yes, there is a Micro Center I can go to.

  • Monitors needed? (Number, size, resolution, refresh rate)

Although I said I would like to keep my current monitor, I do want a second opinion on my current monitor, and perhaps 1-2 other monitors to consider. Thank you.

  • Budget range? (Include tax considerations)

$1,800 - $2,500 A big range I know, I just haven't looked into buying PC parts in over 5 years and don't know how much prices have changed.

  • WiFi or wired connection?

Primarily WiFi with the option for ethernet.

  • Size/noise constraints?

No size or noise constraints, the primary objective being performance/speed/etc.

  • Color/lighting preferences?

Nothing bombastic, just a simple neutral color with a sleek, minimalist look would be cool.

  • Any other specific needs?

I would like at least 2TB+ storage and 32GB RAM. How much more would it be for 64GB of RAM? Does 64GB RAM fit my budget?
