Bought my portal a few weeks ago. Have done some remote play around the house but nothing big. The reason I bought it was because we were going to Dis Knee…. Home of a famous mouse…. As a person that works midnights, getting to sleep at a normal time doesn’t always work out…. So I got a portal to play for a couple hours at night before I could fall asleep. So there were some good and some bad….

The flight…. We flew on cheapo S airlines…. I figured…. Let’s see if their WiFi works…. So I purchased their higher end WiFi for streaming…. Bad news…. Would not connect…. Lame…. So for the flight, no bueno for me…

The resort… I tried to use the resorts WiFi…. No luck…. Couldn’t get it to log into my PlayStation…. But…. I was able to do some cloud streaming…. My game of choice…. No Man’s Sky….

Unfortunately I couldn’t cloud streaming on the resorts WiFi…. EXTRA LAME….

But…. I was able to use my phone as a hotspot…. And VIOLA!!! I still wasn’t able to connect to my PlayStation, but I was able to cloud streaming it. It played pretty good. A little bit of lag, but nothing that made it unplayable. Even in the “Anomoly” (the multiplayer portion of the game).

So all in all it worked pretty good using my phone as a hotspot, but I didnt have any luck with resort or airplane WiFi.

This is my first time sitting down since we landed and wanted to write this in case anyone is looking to do the same as myself….

Phone hotspot works!!!!

All in all I give it a 7 out of 10…
