Need a system recommendation!

I hope this sort of question is allowed here, but I'm looking for reccomendations for a system i'd likely be homebrewing little. I am not the most savvy on all the millions of ttrpgs there are, and would love some advice from people who play 10 times more than i get a chance to lol.

The game premise would be about being sentient files in a computer, fighting against (possibly) malware and phishing links, silly stuff like that! I'd like to have a basis for my friends to build characters with certain 'races', which would be things like .pngs, .exe files or even trojans if they wanted. this i can fully homebrew if i need to, but mechanically id like a tech based system that fits well enough so i dont have to write a whoooole new system on my own lol. if you need more info, i can provide!

While i enjoy 5e for nostalgia reasons, im not so sure i could translate things over very well. I did play Shadowrun and had fun, but not because of the system if im honest...

It's technically not my first time being a GM, but i am a biiiit inexperienced. any help pointing me in a direction of a good system would be great!
