So my owl finch has a pretty bad bald spot, and I noticed he doesn’t have a tail like my other bird. It seems like he’s scratching a lot. Is that normal? A sign that new feathers are going to grow? Or maybe he has mites? I remember my zebra finch did the same thing about 3 month ago, she lost about 40-50 percent of her feathers but eventually they all grew back.
