3 day experience
Hi all,
Just got my Libernovo after 4 years with a haworth fern with no lumber adjuster. I’ve got bulging disc in my L5 (I think thats the one)and of course, suffer from lower back pain. I’ve also have tight hips and generally live each day, working from home, in some form of discomfort. I’m in my seat 7.5 hours a day. Prior to the Haworth Fern I had a Herman Miller Aeron. I don’t think either chair prior to this has ever felt amazing or enabled me to work painless.
So, with that, my expectations weren’t high for the Libernovo, just assuming it would mostly be hype and paid for youtube reviews. I have so far been pleasantly surprised and most importantly, sitting pain free. I’m 175cm and 78kg, a reasonable small frame. This chair just fits perfectly for my body. I mostly use the 2/3 tilt with the headrest forward and some gentle lumbar support. It’s lead to my hips not feeling tight and I’m not exhausted at the end of the day from the discomfort. I forgot what that feels like.
I use the massage once a day and that’s my plan going forward. The foot rest is fine, but I dont really need it. I also find it’s not wide enough for how my feet sit, they tend to slide off the sides.
I don’t really have many complaints because the lack of pain is just such a huge impact on my life. Sure, the arm rests are a little slippery but that hasn’t annoyed me much. Their adjustability makes up for it.
One of my favourite aspects is the headrest, it’s so soft and the adjustability actually makes it useable. I’ve used Headrests on other chairs before at stores when trying them out, where they are basically useless.
the seat is reasonably soft and comfortable, far more so than my Haworth Fern. That might partially be due to age of the Fern.
In closing, I can only hope this lasts. If it does I’ll update the post because so far it could be making a huge difference in my day to day experience. I’ve actually been excited to sit down and work…is this what other people feel like (ok, maybe not that excited about the work part)?
