Model Y RWD insurance

I just phoned my insurance company to add my MYS to my policy.

We have 4 drivers in the house.

My wife - Principal driver of the new MY

Me - Principal driver of Honda Civic (2020)

My oldest son (almost 22)- Principal of Honda CRV (2014)

My youngest son (just about 20) - Secondary

My total policy premium is $4737 (including the Tesla)

My Tesla premium is $688 (just to show how much the Hondas cost in comparison). My oldest CRV costs the most but likely because it is a young man driving.

Basically, to add my Tesla to the fold is costing me an extra $187 per month. Not bad!

It is probably also due to living in Niagara. They said the Tesla would double or more if I lived in Hamilton.

Just letting people know - I see others interested in knowing insurance quotes here.

I should trade a Honda in for another MYS. It would save money!

Mr Proper's App - Changes Detected

Last week, I went on Mr Proper's app (on the web) and it said "Changes detected" but I couldn't see anything different. Then, 1 or 2 days later my EDD changed.

Has that happened to anyone here? The iOS app doesn't detect a change but and I can't tell what the change is. Anyone know how this works?

EDIT: I guess you can see the history. Here is what it says. Not sure what it means. Why would I make my final payment (as in pay for the car) before I get it?

Premium Connectivity

Soon to be MY owner. Question for actual Tesla Owners: Is the premium connectivity monthly fee worth it? Does it actually provide value?

From what I understand, all of the entertainment features (Netflix, Games, etc…) could be accessed by hotspot from my phone. But it’s the live traffic and satellite mapping that I might find helpful from the plan.

Thoughts?

If a car just landed in Halifax and gets scanned off the boat or on the train, does the app status change to anything? Will it say that the car is in transit?

Yes I have a VIN for about 5-6 weeks now.

Question for you already Canadian Tesla owners.

I have been a fan of the cars for a LONG time and I ended up cancelling my June 2020 6 days before my scheduled delivery date. Now, 6 years later, I am about 5-6 weeks away from picking up a MY and super excited. But a lot has changed since 2020.

Do Canadian Tesla drivers get harassed on the road by people either despising Elon Musk or EVs in general? I hear about people in the states getting road raged on or having their cars keyed. I am hoping that people have since matured and that I won’t experience this.

I am smart and intelligent enough to know that even if I don’t agree with all of the CEOs decisions or views, it doesn’t change the product and I can separate that.

What has been your experience?
