After a few days of playing, I have officially [almost!] 100% Super Mario Odyssey.

The only things I'm missing is a handful of the post-game costumes and Rank 50 on Luigi's Balloon World, but to prevent burnout, I'm probably just gonna chip away at that from time to time. It's not REQUIRED for 100% completion anyway.

Otherwise, I have everything else.

I had replayed Mario Odyssey a few times in the past, but it was mainly just speedruns and that was it. This time, however, I took my time and played the base game at my own pace, picking any Power Moons or Regional Coins I found along the way.

After this replay, this game has cemented itself as one of my favorite games of all time, if not my favorite. With all the negativity in the gaming bubble online right now, [especially on the Nintendo front] this game reminded why I love Mario. It reminded me why I love Nintendo. It reminded how much I love the GAMING INDUSTRY.

Call it corny, but I damn near teared up during the final cutscene.

Here's my idea of an "ideal" roster for the next Smash game, trying to keep it realistic while also appealing to as many crowds as possible.

I'll also explain some things, starting with:

Yes, I knew the editing is very bad. I apologize. My editing skills are kinda shit.

Every veteran here has a revamped, highly improved moveset.

Now, here's a list with character names and a few clarifications:

Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, [with game roars and grunts] Yoshi, Rosalina, Wario, [with overalls finally] and Waluigi represent the Super Mario series.

Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Dixie Kong, and King K.Rool, [all with game noises and grunts] represent the Donkey Kong sub-series. All characters use their Bananza re-designs.

Link, Zelda, Shiek, and Ganondorf, [all in their Ocarina of Time designs] represent the, The Legend of Zelda series.

Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Dawn, [Pokémon Trainer] and Orepago represent the Pokémon series. I chose Dawn for the PKMN Trainer to give us some later gen representation and I like her design.

Kirby, King Dedede, Meta Knight, and Bandana Waddle Dee represent the Kirby series.

Samus, Ridley, Zero Suit Samus, and Raven Beak represent the Metroid series. I almost chose Sylux for the fourth Metroid rep, but chose Raven Beak at the last minute. Sorry, Sylux fans.

Marth, Robin, and Byleth represent the Fire Emblem series. Not only do these 3 represent different important parts of the franchise, [the start, the rebirth, and the best-selling game] they also all have unique play-styles!

Shulk, Pyra & Mythra, and Noah & Mio represent the Xenoblade Chronicles series.

Now, let's just do a lightning round for the one reps.

Villager for Animal Crossing.

Inkling for Splatoon. [The game has a make-your-own Inkling feature that's highly customizable!]

Fox for Star Fox.

Captain Falcon for F-Zero.

Ness for Mother.

Olimar for Pikmin.

Little Mac for Punch-Out!!.

Issac for Golden Sun.

Ring Fit Adventurer for Ring Fit Adventure.

And Mr. Game & Watch for the Game & Watch.

As for third-party characters...

Pac-Man.

Sonic The Hedgehog.

Ryu and Chun-Li for Street Fighter.

Mega Man.

Cloud and Sephiroth for Final Fantasy.

The Doom Slayer for DOOM.

Crash Bandicoot.

Solid Snake for Metal Gear.

Dante for Devil May Cry.

Joker for Persona.

Rayman.

And Bayonetta.

Now, onto the Fighter Passes.

Geno is our pre-order bonus.

As for Fighter Pass Vol.1, we've got:

2B for Nier: Automata.

Ristar. Look, I know I said realistic, but hopeless Glup Shitto pick gonna hopeless Glup Shitto pick. I'm sorry.

Scorpion for Mortal Kombat. [Toned down, of course.]

Dr. Eggman for Sonic The Hedgehog.

And Phoenix Wright for Ace Attorney.

As for Fighter Pass Vol.2:

Skull Kid for The Legend of Zelda, finally throw Zelda fans a bone and give them a unique playing newcomer.

The Knight for Hollow Knight.

Sol Badguy for Guilty Gear.

Shadow The Hedgehog.

Lara Croft for Tomb Raider.

And finally, Master Chief for Halo.

Thank you for reading this to the end. Any thoughts? Complaints? Anything you'd do different. Let's discuss.

Drake the type of Nostalgic Ned to remember the Chill Guy meme and Super Mario Party Jamboree and go, "Fuck.. We can never go back..."

Drake the type of Broke Brambleton to want a video game, so he races towards his wallet, only to open it and find either no money at all or a single penny, a spider in it's cobweb, and a fly which escapes. [It's me i'm Drake]

Alternatively, he looks for the money in his piggy bank by smashing it with a hammer instead of opening it like a normal fucking person.

Drake the type of PSN Paul to have his console's online service be hacked and taken down by the nefarious Kendrick, CEO of rival company K.Dot

He's also the type of Apologizing Aubry to give everyone a free game as compensation, but he's also a Clumsy Chuckleberry so he accidentally sends out Sonic 4 to everyone, making him a laughing stock once more.
