A used ES350...thoughts on warranties, please?

I'm looking at a 2017 ES350 at a local Lexus dealership. Not certified, but only 38K miles and in immaculate condition, at least as far as appearance is concerned.

I know that when these cars have issues, repairs can be very expensive. This dealership is owned by Penske and they're offering me not the Lexus warranty, but a Penske "Platinum" warranty that's about $2700.

I was wondering if the group had any thoughts on whether this (supposedly) very reliable vehicle actually needed a warranty, whether it was from Lexus or whether it was from a group like Penske.

Thanks for any thoughts you can provide.

It sounds like my bank (Frost Bank, large regional bank in Texas) has had enough of Zelleing scammers. Got this email today, saying that it was clamping down on transfers to first time recipients. It's always had a limit, but as little as $500?

At Frost, your financial security is our top priority. As part of our ongoing efforts to protect customers from fraud, we’re introducing payment amount limits when sending money to new recipients through Zelle^(®)**.

What’s changing

Daily limits for new recipients will be set at either $500 or $1,000. These limits are combined across all your new recipients per day.

If you try sending more than the allowed amount, you’ll receive a message in Frost Online Banking or the Frost App notifying you of the limit. As you build a payment history with a new recipient, your limits may increase over time.

Established recipients won’t be affected — current daily sending limits of $2,000 per recipient will remain the same.

Why it matters

Scammers oftentimes use payment apps to trick people into sending them money. These updates add an extra layer of protection, helping reduce the risk of fraud while still allowing you to send money quickly and conveniently.

I was wondering if anyone here had thoughts on whether such limits were commonplace, or whether my bank is unusually strict with this.
