Is Katana Wheels the Next #1 in the Drifting World?
Katana kinda came out of nowhere this season and it’s actually wild to watch.
They went from 1 driver last year to 7 drivers across Formula Drift in 2026:
Pro 1:
Rome Charpentier
Trenton Beechum
Federico Sceriffo
ProSpec:
Dustyn Farrell
Sam Maghmoumi
Carsen Ruger
1 still unrevealed
That’s not a normal jump. That’s a brand going all-in.
What makes it more interesting is they’re not just slapping wheels on influencer cars—they’re pushing actual comp wheels like the Katana Hiro Spec HR05 and Katana Hiro Spec HR06 into legit FD use.
And drifting doesn’t let you fake it. If the product sucks, it shows immediately:
cracked wheels
debeads
DNFs
So scaling a roster and surviving events at the same time is kinda the real test.
Big question though:
Is this just a hype push…
or are we watching the early stages of another major player in the tuner wheel space?
Because if even a couple of these drivers start consistently showing results, Katana’s gonna get taken way more seriously real quick.
Curious what everyone thinks—are they actually onto something, or is this just a heavy marketing year?
