Young dude looking for friends.

Hi, there. 22m here.

I just realized how lonely I am. I have a gf, and I'm in college at Fanshawe. I don't know when it happened, but I suddenly realized I had grown apart from all my friends.

I've been really working on myself, and I've kinda left all my old friend groups behind. Maybe it's because I'm no longer a mega stoner who doesn't care about their future.

I'm a huge nerd, I love anime, video games, comics, dnd and other nerdy things.

I just want to be more social. I don't know if this is the right place to post this, but I've lived in London my entire life.

Edit: Grammar.

Lack of new team-ups?

Anyone else just disappointed that team ups are no longer a big part of new seasons?

I feel like for the past 3 seasons they've just done less and less.

I loved how the old team ups felt. It was new, exciting and actually helped the meta switch up more.

Now it feels like they've given up on them.

Thorfinn settling the nature vs nurture debate.

I know it's because the lad was malnourished, but still.

Thorfinn with a full belly could be like 6'7"-6'9" or even taller lol.

So in my system there's both innate powers and magic via casting.

One Idea for a power is the astral mansion.

This gives the user 3 abilities, that they can use depending on the amount of mana they have.

  • Door way
  • Create room
  • Modify room

Doorway

Opens or closes a door to one of the mansions rooms.

Create room

Creates a room attached to the "stucture". This is loosely defined as the "astral mansion" is essentially a dimension all to it's self.

Modify room.

This allows the creator of a room to modify it, giving it physical or magical properties.

Ideas for uses.

Projectile hallway.

A looped room or hallway without gravity or drag. Opening a door can allow for an easy to shield from ranged projectile attacks. However it can also be used to dump out a slew of random attacks that will then be sent flying out as a counter attack.

The Pool

A room filled with pressurized water, that can then act as a geyser.

Living quarters.

Where the mansion's owner lives.

Any other cool ideas for rooms?

With an overheat mechanic.

I'm half joking. Tank mains aren't loved enough for a double Vanguard season.

Just enough to get him back to b tier.

Remove the decay on harmonic recovery (His meditation)

Give him 5 more damage per regular punch (35->40 and his last punch is 55->60)

decrease the cooldown on block to 10s.

Finally get his ass a new team up. Either an offensive option or a team up holder with no nerfs, 5% damage and 25hp.

Runes, Glyphs, and Sorcery: magic comes in many shapes and forms.

Most people can activate runes, and some can create them. Fewer still can make sign glyphs and cast spells from them. Finally, there are the few who have magic in their blood and able to perform sorcery.

Runes are carved and written; they can create simple effects.

A rune of ignis carved onto a lantern can light it, as long as the person who touches the rune has a little mana.

Glyphs are written in the air and create more spectacular effects. Most “skilled” wizards can memorize the glyph sequence for a spell and cast it as long as they have the mana for the spell.

For example, the spell “Fire Ball” is a actually a complex form of the ignis rune drawn in the air using magic. It uses a magic circle to create a flame, stoke the fire to an intense heat, compress the fire into a ball and then launch the “fireball”.

Drawing and maintaining glyphs takes time, an apprentice mage takes roughly 30s of concentration to create a fireball.

Sorcery is innate to the person who casts it. It’s more like a wish that becomes reality.

A sorcerer with affinity for fire simply needs to imagine a fire igniting in their palm of their hand, then imagine it compressing and becoming a blaze when they seek to release it.

From there, we have the 3 main types of magic users in my world.

Enchanters: the masters of runes.

While generally non-combatants, they tend to be supporters and create magic weapons for those who cannot use magic or prefer more physical combat.

However those few who become combatants, are skilled in the use of prewritten combat scrolls that allow for instant casting when needed. They also use premade wands that are able to cast a single spell repeatedly until either the user's mana is exhausted or the wand is broken.

Wizards: the masters of glyphs.
While most wizards are skilled at long-range combat, some can draw runes fast enough to specialize in mid-range to close-range combat. Wizards can also specialize in a certain type of magic that they find interesting.

Not only can wizards cast prepared spells, they can also attempt to cast specialized spells for certain moments.

Wizards can also cast healing spells and other metaphysical spells.

Sorcerers: the wielders of raw magic.

Sorcerers are exceptional casters. Due to the emotional nature of their magic, they are quite rare and are prone to dying young in accidents.

However, the other magic users cannot match the speed and creativity of a sorcerer.

Whatcha think? and you do anything similar when it comes to magic in your settings?
