Protective material for inflatable boat hull

I am planning to buy an Inflatable boat (either Zodiac cadet or Achille LSI series) and both of these have an inflatable hull and keel. Most of the lakes and rivers shallow water near my house is full of rocks and debries that can damage their hull or keel easily.

Defender has a product for hull protection - https://defender.com/en_us/defender-inflatable-boat-nbr-rubstrake

Found some on amazon as well.

I am not sure if Inflatable boats can be folded after applying these products over Hull or Keel.

I wanted to ask, if you came across any way to protect the hull/keel of inflatable boats. Happy to know your experience and thoughts.

Zodiac vs Achilles for light use

I am planning to buy my first inflatable and looking at these models.

  1. Zodiac Cadet 350 Aero Inflatable Boat (11' 6" with Airfloor and PVC Tube)
  2. Achilles LSI-360E Inflatable Boat (11' 8" with Airfloor and Hypalon)

I have a family of 4 (2 adult and 2 children), and will be using them 3-4 times a year on nearby lakes and rivers for leisure trips, camping, water activities. Also, planning to transport them in my SUV, and after use, store them in deflated and folded state in garage on all other days, so they will not be exposed to external environment.

I am reading a lot that Hypalon is better material compared to PVC tube. Achilles model do have Hypalon, but it also comes at double the price of Zodiac.

Let me know your views and which one would you choose for above use case? I am looking for an inflatable that last 4-6 years at least with above usage pattern.
