28 pg + illness context: conditional or straight decision?

hey guys quick q about admissions

im applying to uic with a 28 pg (ib) which i know isnt amazing. had some documented illness-related absences during dp1/dp2 that affected consistency, school can confirm it etc

that said my ecs + ps are genuinely strong (leadership, internships, long term projects, clear major fit, etc) and my recs are solid

just wondering realistically:

does uic usually give straight yes/no decisions or are conditionals common?

like in a case where grades are a bit lower but there’s context + strong overall profile, is it more likely to be an outright rejection/acceptance, or do they sometimes give conditionals based on finals?

would appreciate any insight 🙏
