What is it with these damn cyclists that instead of using the 1 meter wide bike lane and riding as far away from the road as they can, they instead like riding right next to the road forcing drivers to go into the opposite lane to get past them?
I had this today where some bloke in the full spandex shebang was riding right next to the road despite having an entire bike lane and he made a huge queue behind him because none of us could overtake without hitting oncoming traffic.
A few minutes down the road a kid on an ebike is using their brain and stick as far left in the bike lane as they can allowing us to drive past.
Like is it just a cyclist thing that they enjoy pissing off drivers?
Edit: The road in question is david low way by the state school, sunshine coast. The bike lane is always and was at the time completely empty with no hazards in the way hense why i mentioned the kid on the ebike on the same stretch of road having zero issues keeping left and out the way.
I am fully aware that lots of roads force cyclists to ride closer to the road due to hazards etc but in this case and alot of other times these cyclists do it anyway despite having no reason to do so.
