Thank you...

A part of me feels very weird to write this but I am trying to not ignore any positive urges so I just came to share my little gratitude. I was attending a conference here for a week and had a really nice experience of the city and people. There are usually so many negative comments from people who visit France (I guess which would be for Paris mostly) and I suppose subconsciously that made me never plan a visit.

Most of the interactions I had with local people and businesses were very friendly. The subtle sense of care I saw from say small cafe/restaurant owners felt real. I've been living in Germany for 8 years so I'm okay with a cold (at least honest, lol) service but there's nothing worse than the fake and over the top, overwhelming intruding attitude I usually experience in many other countries.

Maybe it's the norm for you but thank you for being considerate and not talking loudly. It makes a huge difference to how I feel anywhere. Thank you for keeping your city clean and looking cared for in small details.
