Facelift in Toronto vs. Turkey

Half the price, even with flights and a hotel. I've seen incredible work on Instagram. BI'm 52 and finally ready to do something about my jawline and neck. The sagging isn't terrible yet, but it's all I see in Zoom calls now.

Here's where I'm stuck:

Option 1: Dr. Martin Jugenburg in Toronto

Local, reputable, I can go for multiple consults, and if something goes wrong, I'm a 20-min drive away. They do deep plane facelifts and mini lifts, and their before/afters look natural (no wind-tunnel face). But the quote was around $22k CAD.

Option 2: Turkey

But I keep thinking what if something goes wrong? Infection, bad scarring, asymmetry, or just a result I hate. I can't exactly pop back to Istanbul for a follow-up. And if I need a revision, would a Canadian surgeon even touch someone else's work?

Everyone says don't cheap out on your face. But $22k is a LOT. Am I paying for peace of mind? Or is Turkey legit if you do your research? Has anyone here done a facelift abroad and regretted it? Or done it locally and felt the extra cost was worth it? I don't want perfection I just want to look like me, but rested.

Also open to hearing about mini facelifts vs full maybe I don't need the big one?

Is an online private school legal in Florida without registering as a homeschool?

Florida has specific homeschool requirements and I keep getting confused about whether enrolling in an online private school counts as homeschooling legally or whether it's treated differently. Can anyone clarify this?

Is one consultation enough or should I keep looking?

How many consultations did you do before choosing a surgeon? I’ve only done one so far and it actually felt really thorough. They walked me through realistic outcomes (not just best case), went over risks in detail, showed a range of before/afters including more “average” results, and didn’t push me to book anything on the spot.

I left feeling informed, not sold to, which I wasn’t expecting. But at the same time, I don’t know if that’s enough to go on or if I should still compare a few more places. Did anyone regret not shopping around more, or is one solid consult sometimes enough?
