Hello!

I recently started using hermes and it has been working really well so far! i'm currently using deepseek v4 flash for day to day tasks and gpt 5.5 or 5.4 via codex oauth for more complex ones.

Anyway, i was wondering if anyone was able to get gpt image-2 to work by only using oauth and not the API key? As a matter of fact, the codex app is able to generate images with a skill + tools without the need of an API key.

I initially vibecoded a plugin for hermes to use the oauth to generate images and it works fine sometimes, the only problem is that it takes sooo much time to generate images and it's not very reliable.

Is there any official solution to this? or was anyone able to make it work without these issues
