Has anyone had to update an ID document lately and found that the Dedem photo booths only give you three passport sized photos now while most of document requirements still ask for four photos...?
Is this some Kafkaesque trick that I'll need to suffer through?

On Thursday I have an appointment to renew my Carta di Soggiorno (courtesy of Brexit).
I went to Porta Nuova in Turin to get my photos, and out popped something Dedem (the photobooth company) calls 3+2. Three small passport photos, and two larger ones.
The list of requirements for my appointment says I need four passport size photos. Except every photobooth I go to only gives me these 3+2.
Has anyone taken one of these to the questura?
The print out says "Valid for all documents" but I have my doubts. I think an officious police officer will push it back to me and say I need four.
