Just started to run

I ran for the first time, after a very long time. Oh, the stats suck, they’re barely above a stroll. For the last year, I’ve basically let myself go. My cardiovascular health was never great to begin with but it was decent. Right now, it’s in the gutter.

I knew the run would be brutal but I never knew how much. I’m extremely gutted. I would run again but I don’t want my run to feel like a chore. I want to run. I want to love it. And I also want to improve cardio.

Two things.

  1. I’ve been to the gym but it’s always almost been weight training.

  2. I want to run for my mental health.
