What lack of new towers does to a man...

Even though there is more than 1 month until the 7.3 will launch, I think there is already a lot of info that we can speculate about what we will see.

Characters

New: We are 100% getting 2 diamonds - MK1 Sub-Zero (winter Discord pool) and MK2 Movie Scorp, which was revealed a few days ago. I don't think that we are getting the 3rd one, as we have only 2 Kombat Passes per update.

New ascensions: Which gold characters have brutality/friendship sets, but don't have the ascensions?

So, around 23 possible characters. Who do you think will get it? As we are getting new diamond Sub-Zero and Scorpion, we can assume that another one of the gold variation will get the ascension, but... they have already in 7.2 (Klassic Scorp and Sub). Maybe Lizard team will become finally ascended. I personally root for Covert Ops Cassie, girl is one of the best golds.

Will we get FX ascension in 7.3? -> MWNG45 has stated in his 7.2 update reveal video, that Devs are aware that we want Ascension to become a useful mechanic and are currently working on FX one, so it will allow us to equip friendship + use ascended golds in the endgame modes, BUT, that we will get it later in this year, so we wait.

Towers

Reruns: Let's ask ourselves first, which towers haven't been around for the longest time. Answer is - Shirai Ryu and Sorcerer's Tower, both of them have appeared last time around end of winter/start of spring 2025, so I think that we should expect them to appear again. Latest appearance of Champion's Nunchaku in the Krypt Store can be another argument about the Shirai Ryu rerun. Plus, we are getting MK2 Movie Scorp, so it would be pretty symbolic to rerun his tower.

Rework: Last time tower was reworked was during the Kameo update in 2024, if I'm not mistaken - it was the Tower of Horror. That rework has given us lots of cool gear - WItch Ward, Meat Cleaver has become more powerful (but my lovely Living Dead got nerfed sadly). Sorcerer's Tower is a top contender for a rework due to meh gear and due to it being rerun again with a high chance, I think it is possible, that gear from that tower will get a rework.

Will the Tower of Time return? -> I'd give that event a 90% chance, as we can see that ToT launches every 3.5-4 months, so it's not a question of "whether it will be launched", but rather "when exactly" - I think that it would be closer to the end of the 7.3

Will we get a NEW TOWER? -> I wish we did. In 2024 and 2025 new towers were launched specifically in the Summer Updates (Hellspawn and Vought), but I don't think we are getting a new one in this update, rather in the Halloween Update. What we are getting tho is the Khaoseum background, so maybe, in 7.4 there will be Tower of Khaos. And where is the tower of Khaos, there is MK1 Havik ;)

Krypt

Are we getting new Krypt gear? -> Rather not, we were getting new Krypt sets for 3 updates in a row, so I think 7.3 will be empty in that regard, as Devs will take some time in order to promote the new Descendant Summon Pack with new Krypt epics. I think that firstly new tower should appear, so Devs can include those OP Krypt epics for us to fight against.

What do you think about the possible new features/characters/towers in 7.3? What are your wishes towards this new update? I personally really want to see Kameos in the Krypt store and full-on rework of the Realm Klash gear...

EDIT: Totally have forgotten about Onslaught Sub-Zero, so 24 possible ascension. This one is actually possible to get in the 7.3 with MK1 Sub release
