I'm trying to recreate the performance mode but force full fan speeds since one fan isn't working and it's another 10 days until I get the replacement. I'm worried about overheating, usually I get 60 degrees GPU temps when gaming but now that it's only one fan it's always at the 87 degrees limit, and I want to lower this
My laptop's fan is completely broken, it creates little to no airflow, but makes this horrible screeching and buzzing sound every few seconds and is driving me crazy. I ordered a replacement fan, and it is coming within the next 5-10 days.
My question is is it okay to unplug the fan to prevent damage/get rid of the tedious sounds? Or do I just cope with it or is there a different solution (like leaving the fan with the motor plugged in but removing the blades). Legion 5 pro 16ARX8 btw.
