CFP study lecture videos recommendations?

Hi everyone,
I’m preparing for the CFP® exam this July and wanted to get recommendations from those who have passed.
I already have access to the traditional materials (books, question banks, etc.), and I am using them—but I’ve realized I learn best through lecture-style videos.
For context, when I took the Series 66, I barely opened the book and passed mainly by watching one instructor who explained everything in a super clear, straightforward way. That format just clicks for me.
For the CFP®, I’m definitely reading and putting in the work—but I’d love a supplemental resource that’s heavily video-based.
What I’m looking for:
Strong lecture-style teaching (not just reading slides)
Clear explanations that simplify concepts
More practical / intuitive vs overly technical or academic
Something that helps things “click” vs going super deep into theory
What I’m NOT looking for:
Kaplan / Dalton / big-box programs as the primary resource
Videos that feel overly analytical, dense, or textbook-like
For those who passed:
Did you use any video-heavy supplemental resources?
Any instructors who explain things in a simple, digestible way?
Anything that helped you actually understand vs memorize?
Appreciate any insight—thank you!

▲ 5 r/SIBO

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to figure out my next step and would really appreciate real experiences from people who’ve dealt with methane SIBO (IMO).

🧾 Background
Symptoms started end of October
Tested positive for methane SIBO
CT scan: lots of gas + stool, nothing structural
Gallbladder: normal (HIDA 57%)
Procedures:
Colonoscopy: completely clear ✅
Endoscopy: showed inflammation/gastritis in the duodenum
From what I understand, the duodenum is:
where the stomach connects to the small intestine
where bile is released

🧪 Other testing
Allergy test: normal
I originally thought I had an egg allergy because:
every time I ate eggs → I’d get really bad symptoms
But since the allergy test was normal, I started thinking:
maybe it’s the fat content
maybe something with digestion/bile
👉 I’ve stopped eating eggs, but I still can’t tolerate them and I don’t fully understand why certain foods just don’t sit right anymore

😣 Main symptoms
Constant bloating + trapped gas
Burping nonstop, especially after eating
Feels like bile reflux (not typical acid reflux)
Upper abdominal pressure (used to feel like gallbladder)
Stool issues (this is the weirdest part):
Pellet stools / constipation
Then sometimes diarrhea
Mucus in stool
Floating / fatty-looking stool
Completely inconsistent and irregular
👉 It feels like digestion is just not functioning normally at all

💊 What I’ve already tried
Allicin
Berberine
Other herbal protocols
👉 Helped a little, BUT:
never fully cleared symptoms
everything came back once I stopped

My main question
Has anyone here:
👉 Taken rifaximin + neomycin (together)
👉 Done just one round
👉 And had it fully clear methane SIBO + symptoms long-term?
As in:
bloating gone
burping gone
bile reflux improved
stool normalized
and it didn’t come right back

🤔 What I’m trying to understand
At this point it really feels like:
Methane SIBO → slow motility → gas buildup → pressure → reflux-type symptoms + stool issues
But I’m unsure:
Is one round of antibiotics enough?
Or does it usually come back unless motility is addressed long-term?

🙏 Would love to hear:
your experience with rifaximin + neomycin
if it actually lasted
whether you needed multiple rounds
anything that helped prevent relapse
I feel like I’m really close to figuring this out—just trying to make the right next move.
Thank you so much 🙏

Post:

Hey everyone—looking for insight.

My HIDA scan EF was 57% (normal), but I’m being referred to a surgeon. During the CCK part I had:

Cramping/pressure

Burping + bile regurgitation

Diarrhea a few hours later

I also deal with ongoing bile reflux and upper abdominal discomfort.

Doctor mentioned possible gallbladder dysfunction despite normal EF. I’m wondering if this could be a hyperactive gallbladder or something like Sphincter of Oddi dysfunction.

Has anyone had a normal EF but still needed surgery—and did it help?

Thanks 🙏

Hey everyone,

I just had a HIDA scan with CCK and I’m trying to figure out if what I’m experiencing is normal or points to something like gallbladder dysfunction.

During the CCK part, I had:

- Pressure/cramping in my upper abdomen

- Sweating

- A lot of burping (even felt like bile coming up)

Then about 2–3 hours later, after I drank water and ate some Chick-fil-A, I had:

- Urgent mushy diarrhea

- Stool that looked greasy/floating

- More pressure in my upper abdomen

It honestly felt like my body just dumped everything at once.

What’s confusing me:

- PPIs have always made me feel worse (so I don’t think it’s typical acid reflux)

- I’ve had similar symptoms before after fatty meals, but this felt more intense after the test

Has anyone else had:

- Diarrhea a few hours after CCK?

- Greasy/floating stool after eating fat?

- Symptoms that seem more like bile issues vs acid?

I’m waiting on my HIDA results (ejection fraction), but I’m wondering if this sounds like:

- Hyperactive gallbladder?

- Bile acid diarrhea?

- Something else?

Would really appreciate hearing your experiences or what your diagnosis ended up being 🙏
