Accidentally deleted all my large files from Ipad- Disk Drill was recommended and failed me
Just wanted to share my experience with my kid's Ipad which had most of its videos deleted.
The AI sites had rated Disk Drill, which is from CleverFiles/Paddle, as the top choice. I installed it, saw that it was showing me videos from the date which it was recorded, and proceeded to pay the $89.
Well, out of about 30gb of video files which were deleted, I recovered about 14, with some which were still on the Ipad, which I guess shouldn't constitute a recovery.
I reached out to them, as they have a "money-back" guarantee, and the AI bot eventually moved me along to a person, who said there are no refunds. So why is there a "money back guarantee?"
Cool. I contacted PayPal and they rejected my claim within minutes.
Technically they did recover some videos, but nowhere near the majority. And maybe people have had better luck with actual drives. But when it comes to Ipads, the product doesn't work, and the customer service is abysmal at best. I think it should be fraudulent to claim "money-back guarantee" when you don't give your money back, especially if the software failed.
I say stay away from them and find alternatives, even if you're desperate, they're not miracle workers and you likely get better results from someone more reputable.
