Anyone else getting dew layer on Quilts even in tent? Is this something to be careful about?

As in title, went for an over nighter in Namadgi National Park recently and woke up with a small layer of dew on my Neve Gear Waratah, I slept in a tent with a rain fly (X-Dome 2), the top vents were open.

Is this normal? Am I just being overly concerned? I did hang it up to dry when I got home as it was still a little damp. For multi day hikes is there a way to mitigate this or deal with a slightly damp quilt on multi days?

X mid 2 vs X mid 2 pro - Cost vs weight weigh ups?

looking for advice from someone who‘s made a decision like this!

planning to do a 20+ day hike through the Australian alps in Nov-Dec this year. I currently have an X Dome 2 which is fantastic but definitely looking to save weight where I can with a treking pole tent, is the weight saving of the X Mid 2 pro worth the price over the regular one? how have you found the packability and lifetime of Dyneema as well?

Im defintely considering the X Mid 1’s but given the length of the trip, also curious if people think it’s worth having the additional space for not a WHOLE lot of weight?

Hi All!

I know these have been over done to do death now, but would appreciate a glance over from some more experienced UL hikers than I!

This is in planning for a NOBO AAWT attempt in early-mid December 2026 and hoping to finish in under 25 days.

The list I've put together so far is influenced by Dan Durston's UL list and Justin Outdoors' recent 2026 UL pack list. expecting final weight to vary as I still have to acquire some pieces of gear and actual weights may fluctuate. If there's anything unnecessary or good alternatives, particularly in the MISC category I'd appreciate it. I know it doesn't include carry bags or worn clothes, will definitely be adding later on, just getting the important stuff listed down for now.

Sleep is a priority so happy to carry extra, I get bad sleep if I'm not using the right pillow at home... (Hence the potential 6.5R, anyone tried it?).

Has anyone had any use with the Trail designs Ti-Tri alcohol stove? looks cool and light, how does it compare to using a cannister stove?

Additionally, for re-supply I've made a 6 drop and 3 drop list from The Adventure Gene's AAWT post, has anyone tried these and what would you recommend?
