I went to a track day over the weekend and after my first session, I lost oil pressure and next thing I knew there was a fairly sizable hole in the oil pan and on the way home, the connecting rod (whats left of it anyways) came out of said hole. Its safe to say the engine is practically toast. I saw a 951 engine for sale around me and it comes with a wiring harness and everything (although would still go through it to make sure everything is guten tight) I got to thinking and just think rationally, I know its going to be a lot of work. Have you guys seen/done a 951 engine in an early 944? I know the gearbox had to be changed for sure but im assuming the torque tube will still be fine.
