AITJ for helping a convicted criminal escape the authorities?
[This is technically from a TV show, not a movie, but I think it's fine since the Blissful Studios video also showed a post about The Office.]
I (26m) am an amnesiac- the only thing I can remember from before a year ago is fragmented images of being experimented on. Additionally, a year ago, I've started operating as a costumed vigilante saving people from mysterious monsters that appear seemingly at random.
Recently, I learned of a convicted murderer (23m), whom I'll call "R" for anonymity, escaping prison, so I confronted him in hopes of turning him in for a bounty. However, he vehemently denied commiting the murder (which obviously doesn't mean much). More importantly, he mentioned being experimented on in prison in an eerily similar manner to the fragments of memory I hold.
So, after fighting off another monster that appeared then, I decided to help Z hide from the authorities in hopes that he could help me find out something, anything about those experiments, since that could lead to the truth about my past. However, some law enforcement officers saw me (I was in costume at the time), so my alter ego is now an outlaw, which is especially bad since my civilian self works for the government.
So, AITJ?
