Prolonged QTc
According to the literature, Exxua can cause QTc interval prolongation, a change in the heart's electrical activity that can trigger life-threatening arrhythmias. It is contraindicated in patients with congenital long QT syndrome or a baseline QTc > 450 msec, with required ECG monitoring before, during, and after treatment.
Was anyone here made aware before it was prescribed and did you get a baseline EKG done?
I’m 40, relatively healthy, currently starting my 4th week of Exxua at 54.2mg. Still adjusting, but it feels like its helping with my depression and anxiety.
Just got really anxious because of this side effect after realizing my psychiatrist did not say anything about it.
Thoughts?
