As most of you know, the Freecash apps were pulled from the App Store and Google Play last week following some media reports. While we're working with Apple and Google to get them back up, the web app remains 100% live and working and if you already have the Freecash app installed on iOS or Android, it should continue working as before.

We've seen a lot of talk (and some misinformation) flying around the sub the past few days, so we wanted to clear the air. Our founder just posted a full breakdown on the Almedia blog, but here's the TL;DR:

1. Are you selling my data?

No. We aren't data brokers. We're a Berlin-based company and strictly follow GDPR (the toughest privacy laws out there). We track game progress so we can actually pay you — standard stuff for rewarded discovery. We recently updated our privacy policy to remove any "legalese" that was being misinterpreted as us collecting sensitive info. We don't.

2. What happened on TikTok?

Some third-party affiliates ran misleading ads that didn't meet our standards. We've since nuked those ads, banned the misleading claims, and set up much stricter guidelines for partners to make sure it doesn't happen again.

3. $300 Million+ Paid Out

We've sent over $300M back to users. Our model is simple: brands pay for engagement, and we pass that money to you. We don't have bot traffic because that would literally break our business model.

A Note on the Subreddit

We've been letting the conversation flow freely here, and we'll keep doing that. We aren't "hiding" the app removal news; we're just focused on keeping this place helpful.

• Keep it constructive: If you're frustrated, that's fair. Share your experience.
• Avoid the "Scam" spam: Calling us a scam or claiming the company is run by a single bot isn't helpful and those posts will likely be removed for low effort.

We're not perfect, but we are listening. Use the web app for now, and we'll keep you posted on the mobile apps.
