Need feedback on strategy and study plan

Hey everyone, I took the free GRE PowerPrep test yesterday and honestly, it went really badly. I got only 6 out of 27 correct in Verbal and 15 out of 27 in Quant. Since the free version doesn’t provide scores, I used GregMat’s conversion tool and ended up with 134 in Verbal and 144 in Quant. I know these scores are quite low, and I’ve been feeling really stressed and overwhelmed since then.

For verbal, I struggled a lot with vocabulary. Many of the words felt completely unfamiliar, and I often couldn’t even understand the answer choices properly. It felt like I wasn’t even recognizing basic words, which made the entire section very difficult to handle. For quant, I feel more comfortable overall, but I still made careless mistakes and faced some questions that I didn’t know how to approach.

I’m planning to take the GRE around June 26, so I have about 58 days to prepare. I’ve created a study plan and would really appreciate honest feedback on whether it makes sense or if I should change something. My plan is to study around 7 hours on weekdays and about 8 hours on weekends. For the first 15–20 days, I’m planning to focus heavily on Quant using GregMat’s PrepSwift along with ETS material to strengthen my fundamentals and reduce mistakes. After that, I’ll continue practicing quant but shift more focus toward verbal.

For verbal preparation, I’m following GregMat’s two-month plan. I plan to consistently work on vocabulary every day using repetition so that I don’t forget words before the exam. Along with that, I’ll practice reading comprehension, text completion, and sentence equivalence regularly to improve my understanding of sentence structure and logic. My main goal is to build vocabulary and become more comfortable with how GRE verbal questions work.

My target scores are 164 in Quant and 151 in Verbal. I feel quant is achievable for me with consistent practice, but I’m really unsure about verbal improvement given my current level, especially with vocabulary.

I’d really appreciate any advice on whether this strategy is effective, how I can improve verbal more efficiently from a low starting point, and if there are any specific resources or techniques that worked for you and also if it is possible for me to hit target within 2 months. Thanks a lot for your help, I genuinely appreciate any guidance.
