Are you guys putting all your eggs in one basket?!

So guys, this unemployment sucks like LITERALLY SUCKS. The success rate of any government exam is 1-2% or maybe 5%. While it's good to be optimistic that we can be one of them but we also need to be practical enough to assess that there is a possibility that we might not be one of them. What I truly mean is that though we can keep trying but we can't solely depend on this because more the gap years more hard it is gonna be for us to find jobs later(if things didn't go out way). So, How are you guys navigating these thoughts? What are the skills/job opportunities you're keeping in mind?

Pls enlighten me, I already have 2 years gap don't wanna increase it any further.
