Anyone who did or is currently doing day1cpt DBA/PhD? How manageable is it in terms of workload? Please help.

Hi all,
MY STEM OPT is expiring in July. I have not yet applied to any day1cpt universities until now. Now, I am afraid if I missed the application deadline.
Also, my masters is in engineering management. I work in Construction Materials engineering. Now, if I can still make it to day1cpt program, what shall I pursue? I heard that day1cpt itself is a red flag dor future petitions and on top of that, if the day1cpt program is not progressive to the degree earned in US, then there is a problem like RFE.. As I already have masters in engineering management, i feel like MBA, project management programs sound similar. What do I pursue at this time? Also, how manageable is day1cpt PhD/DBA with full time work? Please help. Thank you.
