R.I.P : Koji Suzuki (Sadako creator)

The creator of Sadako has passed away. Sadako is an iconic symbol of terror for the world and one of the most recognizable characters in J-horror.

RIP Koji Suzuki. Thank you for creating a character that redefined horror and left a lasting mark on cinema and pop culture around the world.

Unnatural (2018) : Getting a Kdrama Remake

Suddenly, I feel like gatekeeping because this is one of my favourite TBS dramas🤭.Its mostly been reported in Kmedia, but nothing official from Jmedia expect the one included in post.

"'Unnatural' originally aired on TBS in Japan in 2018. It starred top Japanese actress Ishihara Satomi and swept 6 major awards at Japan's 'Drama Academy Awards'. Its main OST, "Lemon" by Yonezu Kenshi, also became a mega hit following the drama's success."

Damn, TBS you did it again! (on Viki)

OMG… I ended up binge-watching this drama. Yeah, I’m still catching up on some winter dramas, but this one completely caught me off guard.

I genuinely thought it would be the kind of episodic cop drama that I’d slowly watch over time but instead, every episode dragged me deeper into this intense, addictive “who dunnit” chase.

And then by Episode 4…the possibility that there might actually be two Gidos? Yeah, that was the moment the drama fully locked me in. Every reveal just keeps making the conspiracy feel bigger and more dangerous.

Meanwhile, my heart was breaking every time they double-crossed Hayase Riku because I was desperately rooting for this man to just make it back home to his son. Underneath all the mystery and betrayal, there’s still a deeply human story about family, identity, and loyalty holding everything together. Mixing the scenes of the cake shop as background to everything gave the drama heart.

It’s fast-paced, unpredictable, and honestly gave me flashes of Vivant with how each episode keeps escalating into something much bigger than you expected.

And the song : Again by Mr Children made me teary-eyed everytime it played just at the right moment. 🥺🥹

-I need emotional support😂🤣_

I get addicted to some of these josei manga LA dramas with slightly unhinged characters and then totally get swept up in the weekly emotions that come with toxic dramas.

This has a very important message about women who don't want to have kids and DINKS (Double Income No Kids phenomenon) but packed in a manga style drama. The FL's toxic relationship with her mum and her shut-in (Hikikomori brother) is also an interesting side-story.

Looks like _Takahashi Issei_ was busy working. I thought he was out there enjoying his honeymoon or something.

The series will roll out weekly over four consecutive weeks.

The story follows Shigetou Shuji (Mizukami Koshi), the sole survivor of a mass stabbing at a crowded station plaza. When the suspected attacker – identified as a drug addict – dies at the scene, a stranger appears at the hospital to warn Shuji that he has 10 days to stay alive. Targeted again almost immediately, Shuji is rescued by detective Soma Ryosuke (Takahashi Issey), who turns to former television journalist Yarimizu Nanao (Saitoh Takumi) for help sheltering him.

Protective fans of the original have taken to local forums to express genuine concern that a remake might tarnish what many consider a flawless classic. Netizens are also questioning whether a modern production can even replicate that understated magic of the 90s, with some pointing to the 15-year age gap between the leads as a sign that the show might be prioritising star power over actual chemistry.😂🤣

The iconic love story between young pianist Senna Hideyoshi and struggling model Minami Kazama—originally made famous by Takuya Kimura and Tomoko Yamaguchi—will now be brought to life by the first-time pairing of Edan Lui and Ali Lee.
