This minor obsession started a year ago when I bought one of these at a craft fair with the intention of reverse engineering it and figuring it out. I bought a kit at Michaels with the precut leather and snaps already installed, wove those and went to get more but they stopped carrying them. We have a local Tandy leather shop so I figured I’d get some scraps from them and make them from scratch. Well I walked out with a beautiful tanned hyde and some snaps. I know it’s simple but I’m having fun. Because they are not precut I’m able to make them a lot wider than I’ve seen anywhere else.
